Recovery Community Services
Job Overview:
Leads and provides mentorship for the development, implementation, and enhancement of quality programs designed to support individuals in their recovery journey from substance use disorders (SUDs) or co-occurring
mental health conditions.
Key responsibilities
Capacity Building for Recovery Community Organizations: Provides Technical Support and training to RCO Leaders in the creation and implementation of recovery community organizations, peer support programs, and other recovery support services initiatives, ensuring alignment with the OCAAR's mission and contracted deliverables.
Network Leadership and Support: Manages the Ohio RCO
Leaders ' Network, provide executive coaching, executive skills training, and opportunities to develop their leadership capacity. And to foster a responsive and inclusive network culture and promote professionalism.
Outreach and Community Engagement: Champion organizations seeking to offer recovery support services. Advocate for increased access to resources to fill gaps in high-quality recovery support services
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting: Track and assess OCAAR program outcomes. Implement necessary adjustments to facilitate improved quality. Develop and report on deliverables and outcomes to OCAAR’s governing bodies, funders, and the community.
Systems Improvement: Identifies gaps in the Ohio Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care and resources, collaborating with Ohio Recovery Leaders and partners to develop and implement solutions that enhance access to services and support, including the development and growth of new Recovery Community Organizations
across Ohio.
Essential qualifications and skills
Non-profit Leadership and Management: Subject Matter Expertise to train, lead, manage, and mentor Recovery Community Leaders and people with lived experience starting nonprofits, ensuring development and implementation of high-quality recovery services and supports in community-based settings.
Experience in Recovery Community Support Services: Minimum of two years of leadership experience delivering recovery support services in a nonprofit community-based setting.
Experienced as a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter and CPRS Supervisor: Demonstrated success in both providing peer support and managing peer recovery teams in a community-based setting.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively in cooperation with community partners, funders, subject matter experts, the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, and government officials.
Mission-Driven and Compassionate: Possesses a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals with SUDs and a commitment to accessibility of quality recovery support services for all who need them.
