2026 NATIONAL AWARD HONOREE
OCAAR is excited to name Patty McCarthy as the 2026 Recover Out Loud National Honoree.
As Chief Executive Officer of Faces & Voices of Recovery, Patty has dedicated her career to advancing recovery through advocacy, education, and the expansion of peer-based support services nationwide. With decades of leadership in the recovery movement, and her own long-term recovery since 1989, Patty is a powerful, living example of what it means to recover out loud. Her work continues to break down stigma, elevate lived experience, and inspire communities across the country to embrace recovery as something to be celebrated.
2026 OHIO AWARD HONOREE
OCAAR is proud to name Hannah Schilling as our 2026 Statewide Recover Out Loud Honoree.
Hannah is a Certified Peer Support Supervisor and Community Outreach Coordinator at Hamilton County Public Health, where her lived experience helps shape countywide harm reduction initiatives. She is also the Founder of On the Front Lines Community Alliance (OTFLCA), expanding advocacy, connection, and support for people impacted by substance use disorder.
Hannah has led with courage and authenticity—openly sharing her recovery story to reduce stigma, inspire hope, and show that long-term recovery is possible. Her work at both the community and systems level has earned multiple honors, including two National Promising Practices Awards.
Hannah embodies what it means to live and lead in recovery—out loud, in service to others, and grounded in compassion and integrity. We are honored to celebrate her leadership and lasting impact across Ohio’s recovery community.
